1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Patch, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, please do not access or use the application.

2. Medical Disclaimer (Critical Information)

PATCH IS NOT A MEDICAL PROVIDER. THE CONTENT AND TOOLS OFFERED BY PATCH ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.

Our service matches ingredients listed on cosmetics and personal care products with allergens you specify. We do not provide clinical medical advice, diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or professional skin care evaluations.

Always seek the advice of your dermatologist, allergist, or other qualified healthcare professional with any questions regarding a medical condition, contact dermatitis, patch testing, or severe allergic reactions. Never disregard professional medical advice because of information you read on Patch.

3. Formulation Accuracy Disclaimer

Manufacturers change formulations frequently. While we strive to maintain accurate, up-to-date ingredient tracking, Patch cannot guarantee that our tool's information always matches the physical bottle in your hand. Always manually inspect physical labels before using any product, especially if you have severe or anaphylactic allergies.

4. Shared Responsibility & Accounts

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. Patch and its operators are not liable for any damages or losses arising from your failure to secure your login information.

5. Permitted Use

You may use Patch for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to scrape, automate, copy, or distribute database ingredients or use the service for commercial profiling without express written authorization.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, ingredient data, allergen databases, and functionality available through Patch are owned by Patch and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without express written permission.

6b. Free Trial Terms

Patch offers a 14-day free trial for Basic and Pro subscription tiers. A valid payment method is required to start a trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. If you cancel before the trial ends you will not be charged. After 14 days your payment method will be automatically charged the subscription fee for your selected plan. Trial eligibility is limited to one trial per user.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Patch, its developers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use or inability to use the service.

8. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of Patch at any time without prior notice.

9. Governing Law & Contact

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. For support, compliance, or legal inquiries, please contact support@patchskin.app.

10. Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel your Patch subscription at any time. Upon cancellation you will retain access to your paid features until the end of your current billing period. Your subscription will not renew after that date and you will not be charged again.

Subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused features, or unused trial periods that have converted to paid subscriptions.

Exceptions may be made at our discretion in the following circumstances:

• You were charged after successfully cancelling your subscription
• You were charged due to a technical error on our part
• You contact us within 48 hours of an accidental subscription purchase

To request a refund under these circumstances or to cancel your subscription contact us at support@patchskin.app. We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.

Patch reserves the right to cancel or suspend any subscription at any time for violations of these terms. In such cases a prorated refund may be issued at our discretion.
